“Jappalachia”: Connections Between the Appalachian Trail and Japan’s Shinetsu Trail was curated by Sarah Adams '20 for the Student Research at YUL exhibit, 2020. Sarah was advised by Haruko Nakamura 中村治子, Librarian for Japanese Studies. Sarah would also like to thank the Shinetsu Trail Club, senior thesis advisor Professor Daniel V. Botsman, Masato Takenouchi 竹ノ内雅人, the Chase Coggins Memorial Fund, and the Yale Environmental Studies Department for all of their guidance and support. Planning for this exhibit was managed by Kerri Sancomb, Library Exhibits Program Manager and Sarah Davis, Library Exhibits Technician, and this online exhibit was produced by Megan Czekaj, Library Exhibits Technician.
