Icie Macy Hoobler (1892–1984), Ph.D.
Icie Hoobler was a physiological chemist. She received her Ph.D. from Yale in 1920, studying in Yale faculty member Lafayette B. Mendel’s lab. In her career, she received numerous citations, honors, and awards, including the Norlin Award, the Garvan Medal from the American Chemical Society, the Borden Award from the Borden Company Foundation, and the Osborne and Mendel Award, established by the Nutrition Foundation, Inc.
