Louisa Lombard, Ph.D.

Louisa Lombard earned her Ph.D. from Duke University in 2012. As a cultural anthropologist, she “studies African borderland areas where the state is largely absent.” Her current book project explores the Central African Republic space by using historical and ethnographic methods. Her current research is on military peacekeepers and the understanding of themselves as ethical actors.
