Despite the significant contributions that Madeline Stanton, Louise Eisenhardt, and Mildred Codding made to medicine and medical education, it can be difficult to find information about these illustrious women. One of the best ways to learn about their lives and careers is through archival research: reading their letters and diaries, combing through hospital records, studying photographs, and, when appropriate, examining and handling the work they produced.
