Acknowledgements

This online exhibition spotlights five major works by Martin Johnson Heade held in the Yale University Art Gallery collection and integrates materials from the Yale University Library collections, including the Sterling Memorial Library, Manuscripts and Archives, Marx Science and Social Science Library, Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library, Yale Library Internet Resource, and the Paul Mellon Center at the Yale Center for British Art. Other works and artifacts were drawn from the American Museum of Natural History, Musuem of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Museum of Arts and Sciences, Daytona Beach.
