Cindy Crusto, PhD, is the first black female professor of Psychology in the Yale Department of Psychiatry. She serves as the Psychiatry Department’s deputy chair for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), is a Deputy Title Nine Coordinator for the University and the Associate Dean for Gender Equity and Director of the Office of Women in Medicine and Science. She is a previous Co-Chair of MORE.

Darin Latimore, MD, was recruited to Yale School of Medicine in 2017 to serve as the school’s first chief diversity officer and Deputy Dean for Diversity and Inclusion. He is also a Title IX Coordinator and works in the Office of the President as the Discrimination and Harassment Resource Coordinator.

Inginia Genao, MD, served as an associate professor of General Medicine and director of Yale’s Adult Medicine Primary Care Center. She also was the department of Internal Medicine’s Vice Dean of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, before leaving the institution in 2022 to become the Vice Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Belonging at Penn State College of Medicine.

James Pierpont Comer, MD, MPH, has been at YSM since 1964, and remains the Maurice Falk Professor of Child Psychiatry. He developed the internationally recognized Comer School Development Program, is the second ever Black professor at YSM and the first to obtain tenured status.

Nii Addy, PhD, is a Professor of Psychology and of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at YSM, and runs a research lab that studies the neurobiology of addiction, depression, and anxiety. Addy currently serves as the inaugural Director of Scientist Diversity and Inclusion and is a member of MORE’s Executive Committee.

Robert Alpern, MD, served as Dean of Yale School of Medicine (2004-2020) and before that, Dean of UT Southwestern (1998-2004). At YSM he was the Ensign Professor of Nephrology and a Professor of Cellular and Molecular Physiology. Alpern was also the former President of the American Society of Nephrology.

Forrester “Woody” Lee, MD, arrived at Yale as a medical student in the class of 1979, and is now a Professor Emeritus of Cardiology. Lee was the former Director of the Yale-New Haven Cardiac Transplant Program and served as the Associate Dean of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, which was later named the office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement (DICE).
