Kristin Reynolds, Ph.D.
Lecturer, School of the Environment
Kristin Reynolds is a human geographer and a critical food geographer (a subfield attending to sociopolitical structures in the food system and the role that researchers play in the systems that they study). Her interdisciplinary research examines global social justice dynamics of agriculture and agrifood policy, with particular focus on urban agriculture and small-scale/ peasant farming. Much of her work engages participatory or action research approaches in which rigorous scientific inquiry and analysis are used to inform positive social and environmental change. At the Yale School of the Environment, she teaches about social justice in the global food system, environmental justice, and community-oriented research.
