Louise Freeland Jenkins, (1888-1970), MA

Louise Jenkins was an astronomer who worked on Yale Catalogue of Bright Stars (2nd ed., 1940) and collaborated on General Catalogue of Stellar Parallaxes (2nd ed., 1935). She acted as Observatory Librarian and Executive Secretary to the Department of Astronomy. She also served as co–editor of Astronomical Journal 1942–1958. The crater Jenkins on the Moon is named for her.
