Mignon Talbot, Ph.D.

Mignon Talbot received her BA Degree from Ohio State University in 1892. She was granted a Ph.D. in Geology from Yale in 1904. For 3 years Talbot served as Associate Professor of Geology at Mount Holyoke College and became Professor in 1907, and was appointed Chair of the department in 1908. She retired in 1935. Her dissertation, published as, “Revision of the New York Podokesaurus holyokensis, a New Dinosaur from the Triassic of the Connecticut Valley,” appeared in 1911 in the American Journal of Science.
