Biography
Clarence H. Richmond was born in Virginia in 1898. During World War I, he was living in Virginia and working as a gardener. Little is known of his early life, but he graduated from Yale Divinity School in 1930. In 1937, he married Helen J. Ayer of Florida. From 1943 to 1954, he served in the US Army, and the family lived in various places, including California. He rose to the rank of captain and served in the Korean War. Over the years, he lived in Savannah, Gainesville, Key West, and other locations, serving as a pastor. Richmond died in 1981.
