Biography
Born in Marion, Kentucky in 1893, Maxey Adolph Jackson earned a B.A. from Howard University in 1920. He was enrolled in Yale Law School in 1920-1921 and 1921-1922, during which time he lived at 100 Foote Street. During World War I, he served as a master gunner (MGRN) in the 350th Field Artillery Regiment, 92nd Division, which was made up of Black soldiers. He died March 14, 1933, and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
