Biography
Born in 1895 or 1896, most likely in Virginia, David Wellington Moss was working as a waiter in a hotel in Prince George’s County, Maryland during World War I. Not much is currently known about his life before Yale. After graduation, from 1932 to 1937, he served as pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in New London, Connecticut. He later moved to Staten Island, where he served at various churches, including St. Phillips Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church. He died in 1967 and is buried in Staten Island.
